It is just right and grand to hold Cebu’s annual wedding fair that is anticipated by everyone every summer in Marco Polo Hotel. Lotte Delima Edwards, a Cebuana bred fashion designer who is now based in Singapore, opened the Island Girl Collection to the public last weekend at the Summer Fashion Frolic show at Plantation Bay Resort. The entire collection is aptly named after the islands in Cebu – Hilontongan, Olango, and Santa Fe Island. Each collection says a lot about the island – mystical, enchanting and very much seductive.

Last February when Cebu capped this month as their love month, Cebu designers’ Jed Sevilla, Salvador Malto, Philip Tampus, Anthony Romoff, Bernardo Flores, Pewee Senining, Yves Camingue, Leonardo Igloria and Dexter Alazas demonstrated romance in couture form.
The L’Amore Debutante and Bridal Show held last Feb 13-15 at the Parkmall launched WeddingCebu.com, Cebu’s leading online resource for couples. Cocktails, a fashion show, datings games and Bossa Nova nightingale Sitti summarized that eventful weekend. Banilad Town Center had a bridal preview last Thursday that showcased designers who also displayed their collections for the STYLE WATCH fashion event held last night until Sunday, August 26. The show boasted that it will start at 5pm as expected but the whole thing ended up commencing at 6pm and lasted for an hour. You can go over and ogle at the best bridal pieces from Cebu designers at the lobby of Banila Town Center. (pictures to follow)
