MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder in NC20

Makeup wouldn’t be complete if you do not have any form of powder to “set” your work and finalize the job. I wish we have learned something like this in class but apparently, dabbing on concealer or foundation isn’t just enough that is why I couldn’t help but tell you about the sheer-est pressed powder I found from MAC cosmetics - the MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder in NC20 or Neutral Tones20.

From their website:

Micro-fine, sheer and silky. Pressed for portability. Goes on lightly. Won’t shift your shade or leave its mark. Lets skin’s natural vitality and freshness glow through. Comes with its own suede-finish sponge. Blurs lines. Makes skin look flawless. Bestselling Shades | All Shades 12 g / 0.42 oz  US $21.00

Loves:
- most number of touch ups in a day is 2
- very light and airy it feels like you are not wearing it at all
- matte feel
- looks natural
- perfect settling powder for liquid foundation
- the “suedette” puff
- huge selection of shades

Not into:
- the size, small compact, small mirror!
- doesn’t look finished

In summary, I am impressed by how light this powder is. Sad though because since I’ve always wanted a luminous look, the MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder may be too dry for my style. Although my skin didn’t break out from the popular jet-milled, smooth powder, I would want a more heavier coverage. It does cover up all of the imperfections and leaves your skin looking wonderful but a matte finish is as matte as the black compact case it comes along with – dry, dull. Nonetheless, it is nice to have one of these tossed in your  makeup bag once in a while.  Do you like your powder pressed or loose?

MAC Select Sheer Powder is retailed at $21 at their website, $37 in Rustan’s. Not sold in Cebu.

i love both pressed and loose powders! i use Skinfood’s loose powder to set my foundation.. I have MAC Blot, its also sheer but does control oil.. Try MAC’s Studio Fix Powder Foundation if you want more coverage Kristine.. =)
