Say hi to Carole Monique de Leon or otherwise known as Blinky de Leon. From our last Stylecebu Street Style’s Giebeth Goking, we have certainly given these Cebu personalities character when they are off the stage and being, well, just themselves. Twenty year old Blinky is a host of MagTV Cebu (a local television show) and at the same time one of the city’s models for Chikoy Tomol’s MAC.

Have you always been the model type when you were young? Were you so into dressing up, walking on runways, stealing mom’s makeup? yes
Who is your favorite model? Tyra Banks
Can you name the best shows you were in – local, international? MagTV na and a lot of fashion shows.. best ones were everytime I am asked to wear clothes from my favorite designer.

Is modeling a career or a pastime? both..

Any advice to aspiring models? keep on aspiring and believing in yourself.. always for see yourself as what you want to become in the future, if it is modeling, then, see yourself ramping those stages, doing a lot of pictorials for ads and magazines, etc.. that’s what I did.
Fashion for less or Labels all the way? for less.. I’d rather spend a whole afternoon looking for cheap finds than expensive ones. If only Cebuanos are proud enough to realize how rich we are then we’ll be more progressive.

You’ll usually see me wearing school uniform or tank top with jeans when I’m not modeling.
I never leave home without my big bag filled with my personal belongings.
They used to call me Carole or Car in high school.
My biggest crush is Justine Timberlake.
I think the cellphone is the best invention in history.
The best part about being a model is being able to gain more self-confidence and honestly, the fees as well..
If I’m not modeling Im busy with my studies.
My favorite makeup artist is Wenwen Zaspa but I find each make-up artists great in their fields.
Phillip Rodriguez will be designing my wedding gown.
If I could be anywhere else in Cebu, I’d be in mountain tops, doing some reflections or moalboal swimming.
You’d find mostly games in my iPod/cd player/car stereo.
My best recent purchase that I can’t get over with is a car? for it came from my own salary
I am proud of Cebu because of it’s richness in every aspect, name it Cebu has it! Personally, I couldn’t ask for more.. If I want to go for a walk in a beach, I’ll get there in just a few minutes, wanna go for shopping then, you’ll be overwhelmed by different shops you’ll see around and most of all I am proud of Cebu for it Made me a Cebuana

Blinky’s style is laidback and trendy. She is the only woman I know who can do justice to a simple white tee!
