From the list of activities at the Bijoux Cebu this month, there will be an On-The-Spot Design Competition, that will take place on Saturday, September 26 at 3pm. This is one of the competitions that Bijoux Cebu is holding court.

Here are the mechanics:

1.      Open to all amateur and professional designers.
2.      Bring any of the following proof of identity: Photocopy of Birth or Marriage Certificate, Passport, Company ID or School ID, other IDs.
3.      All contestants shall hold the organizers free of liabilities arising out of any dispute relating directly or indirectly to any intellectual property claims, the use of scripts, images, graphics, and other copyright materials.
4.      The contestants authorize the organizers to use whatever legal means to ascertain the authenticity of any or all information submitted.
5.      Contestants will design jewelry or accessory in a specified theme.
6.      Components and tools will be provided.
7.      Time limit of 30 minutes will be set.
8.      Judges will be buyers present during the competition. There will be three (3) judges with 10 cards each. A judge will give a card (or all his cards) to the contestant with the product that he likes best. Products will be showcased in a fashion show for final judging. Buyers will again vote among the products. There will be three winners (first, second and third place) in each competition.
9.      Prizes:

a.      Winners will received cash prize and trophies:

i.      First Place – P3000
ii.      Second Place – P2000
iii.      Third Place – P1,000

b.      All contestants will receive a “Certificate of Participation”.

10. All entries will be a property of Cebu FAME Foundation
11. In case of a tie, judges will deliberate among themselves
12. Decision of the Board of Judges is final and binding.
13. The organizers have the right to issue additional rules as when these are deemed necessary.
