Get to know Cebu’s favorite personalities on and off the record.

Stylecebu introduces a different character when they are not running shows, ramps and all over Cebu by tapping into the serious artery of their psyche. Perhaps, what is fodder to the rumor mill may be an antithesis to the real score.

A first is Giebeth Goking, a part time Models Association of Cebu (MAC) model, accommodated Stylecebu with her candidness.

Have you always been the model type when you were young? NO, but I remember one time I sneaked into my mother’s room when I was like 8 or 9 years old, and tried on one of her high heels. I just can’t forget that coz I was able to walk with those heels on.

Were you so into dressing up, walking on runways, stealing mom’s makeup? I don’t dress up often. Only when we are required to in modeling. I also recall that before I became a model I really was “baduy”.

Who is your favorite model? My favorite model is Angel Aquino. Aside from being a model and retaining her figure even though she has children, she also manages to maintain a healthy relationship with them. Not to mention, she is a nice person.

Can you name the best shows you were in – local, international? Locally, my best show is the metro weddings show in Waterfront cebu. It is usually a yearly, 3day event. Wish it is not too late for me to be part of an international show one day. Hehehe.

Is modeling a career or a pastime? For the past 10 years modeling for me was a career, but when I became a wife, it became my pastime.

Any advice to models who wanted to be part of MAC? If you’re confident and you feel like you could be a model, 1st you should find or look for a credible agent (MAC- would be the best), 2nd when you are on this career all you need to do is return back the favor to your agent, co-models, designers, stylist, by simply being professional and respectful of other people’s time.

Fashion for less or Labels all the way? I prefer fashion for less. I really don’t care what brand it is.
